- Total confirmed cases represents how many individuals among the Oglethorpe community have tested positive for COVID-19 since the start of the fall 2021 semester. This total includes both confirmed active cases currently in isolation and cases that have expired and are no longer isolating.
- Confirmed active cases represents how many individuals among the Oglethorpe community have a confirmed positive case at this time and are currently in isolation.
- In isolation or quarantine on campus represents how many individuals are currently in isolation or quarantine on campus due to a positive test result or exposure. Some may choose to isolate or quarantine off-campus.
- In isolation or quarantine off-campus represents how many individuals are currently in isolation or quarantine away from campus due to a positive test result or exposure.
Vaccine Policy for Fall 2021: Students, faculty and staff are expected to be fully immunized against COVID-19 for the Fall 2021 semester. Individuals may apply for a medical or religious accommodation. Students and employees were asked to confirm their vaccination status or apply for an accommodation through the appropriate acknowledgment form (student form and employee form). Details about the vaccine mandate and the acknowledgment forms can be found on the COVID-19 FAQ page. To date, the student/faculty/staff vaccination rate is over 91%. Note: Pfizer/BioNTech received full FDA approval for ages 16 and older as of Aug. 23, 2021.
COVID-19 testing is required for all faculty, staff and students who are unvaccinated or not yet fully vaccinated. View details in FAQs for random surveillance testing of unvaccinated individuals throughout the semester and how to obtain a COVID-19 test when notified.
