President Ladany announces that remote learning will continue for Fall 2020


Summer 2020

  • Welcome week/orientation planning is underway with options for small group gatherings and online options, possibly using a new product- Band/Wiser- cost to be determined
    • Orientation speakers/trainings adjusted
    • Activities redesigned to align with event size guidelines
  • Admissions moving the summer MAP orientation to Moodle Individual advising meetings with students to receive course schedules to happen via Zoom
  • Communications visuals/strategies/framework in OU Connect with new guidelines
  • Convene Admissions, Museum, Athletics, Arts faculty, Alumni/DAR, Special events working group to discuss events that bring in the public, visitors
  • Engage arts groups to think about opportunities with virtual events

Fall 2020

  • Engaging student government association about new guidelines and planning remote events (and changing way student activity fee is utilized)
  • Training sessions for student organizations, Greeks, campus staff programmers
  • Specific alterations being made to annual university events on Master Calendar
  • Athletics schedule/events are being determined and re-designed for safety
  • Civic Engagement/Service redesign to connect students to the community remotely/safely
  • Remote internships/job fairs being planned
